Roofing Project Manager for Mount Joy Roofing in Mount Joy, PA The roofing project manager handles all roofing projects from inception to completion. Roofing Project Managers needs to have at least (5) years’ experience in the roofing industry. Roofing project managers must be familiar with sales, estimation, project management and sub-contractor management. There are many different waves of each project, so job duties are specified below. Sales Duties: 1. Perform estimation for quotation 2. Provide client with verbal estimation, including materials and labor cost and gain buy-in 3. Give information for quotation to business manager or secretary for quotation preparation 4. Take written quotation to client for approval. 5. Once client approves quotes, receive 1st payment for deposit and return to office before 9 pm EST. Project Management: 1. Take picture of signed quotation and email or send picture of signed quotation. 2. Send to business manager for sales receipt and invoice preparation. 3. Call sub-contractor for date for installation of job. 4. Call in, fax, or email materials order to all suppliers. 5. Meet with sub-contractor to go over job specifications. 6. Meet with materials delivery driver and make sure all materials are delivered correctly. 7. Once all materials are delivered onsite, obtain 2nd payment from client and bring back to office by 9pm EST. 8. Meet subcontractor onsite to make sure everything is a go on date for job installation. 9. Keep in contact with subcontractor during installation to make sure all issues are dealt with in a timely manner. 10. Once installation is complete, do final inspection of subcontractors work, pay for services rendered. 11. Pick up final check from client and deliver to office before 9 pm. Compensation: All project managers make a total of 40% of the profitability for the project. (Project cost – (materials labor O&P[10% of project pricing]= Project Net) Sample breakdown: Project Pricing 12500 Materials 2700 Labor 4000 O & P 1250 Project Net = 4550 Project Manager Compensation 1820.00 Payment Terms: Project managers are paid $100 once first payment received, 50% - $100 once 2nd payment received, and 50% of compensation once 3rd payment received. All payments are issued on weekly check every Friday for all commissions for that week.
