Roofer in Monument, Colorado

Hello, my name is Shane Smith. I am actively seeking work in the Colorado Springs area, with some travel if necessary. I am 36. I am non-smoker. I have been married 15 yrs. and my wife and I are raising our four children in Monument. I am the very definition of self motivated and hard working. I would love the chance to bring my work ethic to your company, even if just to get a foot in, and move up the ladder so to speak. I am a certified master roofer with roofing license. While I specialize in residential/steep roofing, I have experience with many types of flat roofing including EPDM, TPO, modified and built up roofs. I can do all your repairs, big or small. I can hands on run a crew while leading the installation myself, or run several crews, I am a versatile candidate able to run many projects, yet very comfortable shingling all day if needed. I have great customer relations skills, and I am an extremely organized person, capable of running many projects at once. I am able to identify problems and use my roofing and construction knowledge to create solutions, and solve the issue. I get along well with others and work well in groups or solo. I have a sales background that caters these decisions towards company profit and growth, while making sure your client/homeowner is a happy one. I can work with insurance adjusters or other contractors as well. I am open to any position where I can use all my skill sets. I can manage projects, with the scope not limited to roofing but to include carpentry, exterior work i.e: soft, facia, siding, doors and windows. I can do your light drywall repairs. I can oversee crews and make sure things are to code, and company standards. I can also estimate your projects and put your materials lists together, as well as coordinate with crews and material companies from start to finish. I have very strong computer skills and am familiar with a variety of software including, Act, Exactimate, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Acid Pro study, Fruity loops, QuickBooks, just to name a few. I am at home in the office or the field. I would say I am not just dedicated to the job at hand, I am passionate about whatever I do, as I am putting my name on it. I speak spanish very well which has previously served me greatly in the roofing industry . I have my own van and tools, I am ready to work today! I worked in all facets of the roofing industry for many years in Iowa, before I moved my family Back to Colorado. I currently own my own music promotion company and produce 1-2 concerts a month, in Denver. I have worked in music now for over 5 years. My work frequently takes me to LA, San Francisco, and Nashville sometimes for extended trips. I have been trying to get away from the music business for quite a while now, the music industry hrs and ethics are the opposite of family life, and although I enjoy staying busy 60 hrs a week, working all night and then all day, is starting to take its toll…I would like to sleep at night.
